SKETCHBOOK ARTIST.

Sketching the beautiful world around me in the quiet villages of Southern France. Sketching the world whenever I get to travel.

I have always sketched and painted, from my first career as a designer of clothing and textiles, to painting murals in grand houses, then to illustrating books and postcards. Now I dedicate my time to my sketchbooks.
I teach sketchbook illustration, mostly on line and I continue to illustrate professionally.

Résumé
2023 was a busy year.
One of the most exciting things was taking part in the first Sketchbook Festival in Aix-en -Provence.
CARNETS DE VOYAGE EN PROVENCE and meeting many other sketchers and followers. For the same occasion I self published a booklet of my sketches, followed by a second booklet.

“Vignettes de Provence “ and ‘Vignettes de l’Ubaye”

I also showed my sketchbooks locally in the Musée Simon Segal in Aups.

In November I spent three weeks in Nepal and enjoyed sketching once again in that beautiful country.

Currently I am concentrating on my sketchbooks, my illustrations for the various Tourist Offices in Provence, amongst others, and on line art teaching.

2019, I joined Urban Sketchers, which was a revelation as it corresponded with what I had always done, that is keeping sketchbooks as a record of my travels.

2016, publication of my book of illustrations ” Haut Var-Verdon-Ubaye” for Equinoxe.

2012 – 2019, various solo exhibitions in Provence, France of my watercolours and my acrylic paintings.

2011-2012, exhibition of my travel paintings at Carré d’Artists in South Molton Street, London.

After studying Art, then Fasion and Textiles I worked for many years as a designer in that field.
